Check out the Vox Valvetronix series. They are a tube hybrid, but done right. They’ve got some nice DSP for amp modeling and other effects, but with a tube power amp, so you can crank it up and get that sweet power tube saturation that makes tube amps so wonderful.
I love Laneys, but I’d go for the Vox over the LG series (but I’d go for the Cub series over the Vox)
Not a fan of Line 6′s amp… I never have been. They were available in California for a long time before they went national, and I didn’t like them then either.
Fender makes some great amps, but none of them have very good distortion sounds.
